Contact the Church Office for the fee amount.

RESERVING THE DATE

The Wedding Coordinator will ensure that your desired date is available and will then book your wedding and rehearsal times and dates.   We require a non-refundable deposit of $100.00.

A personal check is acceptable.   You may bring or mail the deposit to the church office.   Please footnote the check with your wedding date.

The remainder of your fee may be paid as you are able.   We request that it be paid in full no less than two weeks prior to the ceremony.

WEDDING COORDINATOR

Contact The La Jolla Christian Fellowship Wedding Coordinator at the church office (858)454-9636 or by email (weddings@lajollacf.org).

Our Wedding Coordinator represents LJCF for your wedding.   No other person or guest Pastor will have authority while on the premises at the rehearsal or the wedding.

The coordinator will answer any questions you may have concerning the church and our traditions.   She may be able to help you contract for other services.

The coordinator's function is also to carry out plans that have been discussed with the bride and groom.   She will conduct the rehearsal and see you through all wedding day festivities at the church.

LA JOLLA CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP WEDDINGS

Christian Marriage is a ministry of this church.

We require pre-marital counseling.   No couple shall be married at LJCF without first having counseling sessions with our Pastor or your own.

IF YOUR OWN PASTOR IS OFFICIATING

Tell our coordinator that you wish to have your own Pastor officiate. Your Pastor will need to send a letter of introduction to our Pastor. The letter from your Pastor should include a very brief statement of the faith of your Pastor and it should confirm that you and your fiance are receiving pre-marital counseling.

Only Christian ceremonies based on Biblical principles are permitted at La Jolla Christian Fellowship. Guest pastors are expected to adhere to this policy.

RING BEARERS & FLOWER GIRLS

Children are not predictable in a wedding setting. Be prepared for absolutely anything. Our coordinator will determine how best to handle any possible "situations."

THE REHEARSAL

The wedding rehearsal will take place 1 or 2 nights prior to the wedding day.   No rehearsal will be planned for the day of the wedding.

The rehearsal must start no later than 7:00PM.

Our staff will allow an hour and a half for the rehearsal starting no more than 15 minutes late.   The rehearsal will begin with or without all the participants.   The bridal couple and their pastor will meet with the coordinator 30 minutes before the rehearsal.

MUSIC

We require that any music played or sung at a wedding be tasteful and in the spirit of the setting. If you are not sure about a particular song, especially secular, please ask.

Upon request, we will provide you with a qualified organist or pianist.   When you set your wedding date, we will schedule the musicians.   The coordinator will provide you with the contact number.

It is your responsibiity to make arrangements for your music with our musicians.   We can arrange for special music such as vocalists.

Sheet music for vocalists should be in the hands of the organist or pianist no less than 4 weeks prior to the wedding.
